For Hiring Youth in the Sector
Funding For Nova Scotia Manufacturers
In this webinar Nova Scotia manufacturers will learn about funding programs offered by both EMC and the provincial government.
WILWorks Youth in Manufacturing
Employers receive mentorship training at no cost and a financial incentive of up to $2500 for each youth work placement. The program provides eligible participants (aged 16-20) with funded industry recognized training to support a work placement in the manufacturing sector.
WILWorks Skilled Trades in Advanced Manufacturing Program
Up to $5,000 in wage subsidies to help you upskill current and new employees aged 15 to 29.
This program combines online learning with hands-on training at your workplace, allowing participants to acquire valuable technical skills tailored to your organization’s needs while exploring rewarding careers in skilled trades. Choose from a variety of topics, including electrical fundamentals, PLCs, mechanical fundamentals, mathematics, CNC machining, and more.
Funding for employers to hire students from Nova Scotia Co-op Education programs, $8 per hour, $9.50 if hiring from a designated group. The next application period is December 15-January 15, for summer work terms.
This is a wage subsidy for employers creating new, permanent, full-time jobs for graduates in their first year after completing a post-secondary program.
Employers hiring recent graduates may receive funding of 25% of the first year's salary and 12.5% of the second year's salary. For employers hiring Masters' and PhD graduates for innovative roles, funding of 30% of the first year's salary and 15% of the second year's salary is available.
