Invisible Disabilities and Workplace Inclusion
Many disabilities and health conditions are not immediately visible, yet they can significantly shape an employee’s workplace experience.
This session helps organizations better understand invisible disabilities, including neurodivergence, chronic illness, mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and episodic disabilities, and how workplace systems, assumptions, and biases can unintentionally create barriers.
Participants will explore inclusive approaches to communication, accommodation, flexibility, and team culture that move beyond compliance toward genuine belonging. The workshop also examines stigma, disclosure concerns, and how leaders can foster psychologically safer workplaces where employees feel supported without needing to constantly advocate for their needs. Through practical examples and reflection, participants will leave with actionable strategies to create more accessible, inclusive, and human-centered workplaces.
