GHG Metrics and Energy Efficiency

More and more members are being asked by their customers, about the carbon footprint of the products they are producing, yet a recent study conducted by EMC shows that most SMEs are not yet measuring or tracking their GHG emissions.

Understanding the sources and types of emissions is key for developing strategies to reduce, improve efficiency and optimization, and consider green manufacturing processes and clean technologies.

EMC encourages members not to ‘waste your energy more efficiently,’ rather to look for gains and larger savings through a broader view of whole system (big picture), which often yields larger savings while limiting capital expenditures.
