NS Human Resource Roundtable
As manufacturers continue to navigate workforce challenges, immigration and international talent remain important parts of workforce planning and retention.
Join EMC, Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS) and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for a practical virtual session designed to help Nova Scotia manufacturers better understand immigration-related workforce considerations and the supports available to employers and their employees.
Key Discussion Areas
- Supporting employees with temporary work permits
- Understanding immigration pathways and options
- Planning ahead for work permit expiries and renewals
- Understanding the employer’s role and responsibilities
- Resources and supports available through ISANS and IRCC
- Common employer questions and challenges
- Practical considerations for workforce planning and retention
The session will also include an open Q&A, giving manufacturers an opportunity to ask questions and better understand where to turn for support.
Who Should Attend?
HR professionals, business owners, plant managers, senior leaders and anyone involved in recruitment, retention or workforce planning within a manufacturing organization.
NS Human Resource Roundtable
