Pedestrian Safety Around Fork-Lifts
Many manufacturing environments require the use of forklifts in tandem with operations performed by exposed workers. This course instructs participants on how to adhere to Health and Safety protocol when working around or with forklifts, and identifies a number of preparatory practices that can be taken to avoid collision.
The Pedestrian Safety Around Fork-lifts module is designed for anyone who works near or around fork-lifts who is a pedestrian and those operating a powered lift truck or device. Upon completion, participants will understand the extremely hazardous nature of workplaces with fork-lifts and how, as pedestrians, they should adhere to specific rules and use practical techniques to ensure they do not become a victim of a fork-lift-pedestrian collision. Operators will learn what techniques to use to watch for and communicate with pedestrians.
