This session outlines various strategies that workers can use to prevent injury when lifting heavy objects, and describes preparatory and follow-up strategies that should be employed to prevent injury.

The Back & Lifting Safety training module is designed for all personnel who do manual lifting. It focuses on a thorough understanding of the structure of the human back and the forces placed upon it during lifting. Participants will learn how to plan for a lift and how to properly execute it to reduce the potential for injury.
This session should be an employee-wide application with the outcome of reducing back injuries at work and in personal life.
