Understanding Learning Styles and Effective Training Practices

This session will equip leaders and managers with strategies to support and enhance the careers of existing employees in the manufacturing industry.

Thursday, March 27, 2025, 1:00pm EST
Virtual

Manufacturers are creating and expanding their training programs for their workforce in response to changing industry demands, technological innovations, and a need for a skilled workforce. Standard training methods may not effectively address diverse learning needs, potentially affecting skill development and career progression. Upskilling and reskilling training shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all.

Join us for an engaging session to identify learning styles and how to create inclusive training approaches in the manufacturing sector. We will review the four different learning styles and best practices to support each, including inclusive training approaches to ensure success in the workplace.

About our Guest Speaker: James Demers (He/him) is a facilitator, diversity educator, and workplace consultant with 15 years of experience helping organizations create inclusive, accessible, and equitable workplaces. He has worked across healthcare, construction, and nonprofit sectors, supporting teams in employee engagement, leadership development, and accessibility strategies. With a strong focus on workplace culture and diverse learning styles, James designs practical, interactive, and adaptable training that meets the needs of diverse teams. He has led initiatives on policy development, equity frameworks, and inclusive leadership, ensuring organizations foster environments where all employees can thrive. Based in Treaty 7 Territory (Mo’kinsis), James is committed to removing barriers, improving accessibility, and enhancing employee experiences through education, strategic planning, and organizational change.
