Recipe for Growth: A Playbook for New Facility Builds & Expansion in Food and Beverage Industry
Join us for this session where two legal experts examine a case study and discuss the end-to-end process of planning, building, and launching a new production facility in compliance with regulatory requirements.
This session pairs Arturo Pugliese, partner at Weir Foulds LLP and lead counsel to Andriani Ltd., an Italian food manufacturer which built and commissioned a new 61,000 square-foot pasta production facility in London, Ontario, with Glenford Jameson, a Canadian food regulatory lawyer at GSJ&Co. who is focused on interactions between regulated parties and CFIA / Health Canada. Using Arturo’s recent project as a live case study, they will build a step-by-step playbook for EMC food and beverage manufacturers contemplating new builds or major expansions—from corporate structure, land acquisition and construction to licensing, compliance, and getting safely to commercial production.
