The first level of protection consists of machine safeguards
Machine Safeguarding
Machine safeguarding is an essential component to health and safety in a manufacturing facility. Moving machine parts have the potential to cause severe workplace injuries, such as crushed fingers or hands, amputations, burns, or blindness. Safeguards are essential for protecting workers from these preventable injuries.
Join us to learn more about ensuring machines are equipped with the appropriate guards to protect workers from hazards such as rotating parts, flying debris, and other dangerous areas. We will discuss proper machine guarding features including fixed guards, interlocking devices, and automatic shutdown features.
Presenter: Jamie Wright, CRSP, CHSC, CMSE Vice President of Strategy and Consulting at SafetyCo – A Certified Machinery Safety Expert with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing.
