BC Youth in Manufacturing Webinar
In this webinar you will learn more, from EMC's BC Youth in Manufacturing project team, about the program and its parameters as well as the roles/responsibilities/expectations of participating businesses.
EMC is excited to be partnered with the Province of BC on the BC Youth in Manufacturing Initiative. This 3 year, $3M project will provide short-term, paid work placements for 500 BC youth aged 16 to 21. Eligible employers will receive up to $3,500 per placement to offset onboarding, on-the job-training and wage costs for ages 18-21 (in the NEET (Not employed or pursuing education or training) category) and up to $2,500 for high school students.
EMC will be working with manufacturers, school district work experience teams, post-secondary institution career education staff, and other community partners across the province in order to place the youth.
This session will provide further background on the initiative, its parameters. and walk you through the application process.
Our events take place on a regular basis, some virtually and some in-person, throughout all of our Consortium regions. As part of your EMC membership, you and your colleagues are invited to participate in any, and all events, that are relevant to your company - in any Consortium region across Canada!
