In an actively caring safety culture, people look out for the safety and welfare of others with commitment, courage, competence and compassion, enabling the achievement of an injury-free work environment. It is different from Behaviour Based Safety in that, employees not only care about their own safety, they care about the safety of others around them enough to speak up or act on their caring to help those around them to be safe.
