EMC is presently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Outreach Associate to support our growing team. This role is a full time, permanent, remote/hybrid position that supports EMC’s multi-year national Labour Market Intelligence (LMI) and Capabilities study by executing stakeholder outreach and data collection activities with manufacturers and workforce partners across Canada.

The role is primarily execution-focused and is responsible for engaging participants through outbound communication, coordinating survey participation, supporting interview scheduling, and ensuring accurate documentation in CRM and tracking systems. The Outreach Associate plays a key role in maintaining consistent outreach cadence, improving response rates, and ensuring high-quality data collection in both English and French.
This position is ideal for a highly organized, professional communicator who enjoys relationship-building, is comfortable with outbound outreach, and is motivated by meaningful work supporting Canada’s manufacturing workforce.

Responsibilities

Stakeholder Outreach & Engagement

  • Conduct outbound outreach to manufacturers and workforce stakeholders via phone, email, and virtual engagement to support participation in the LMI and Capabilities study.
  • Build rapport with participants through professional, informed, and respectful communication.
  • Provide clear explanations of the study purpose, timelines, and participation requirements.
  • Support repeat participation by maintaining consistent follow-up and positive stakeholder experiences.
  • Respond to participant questions and escalate complex concerns to the Project Outreach Coordinator as required.

Internal & Survey Coordination

  • Schedule interviews and coordinate participation timelines with employers and stakeholders.
  • Confirm appointments, send reminders, and manage follow-up communications.
  • Support interview preparation and ensure participants have required materials in advance.
  • Assist with survey completion support, including troubleshooting access or participation barriers.

Data Collection & Documentation

  • Accurately record stakeholder responses, interview notes, and engagement activity in CRM and study tracking systems.
  • Ensure completeness and consistency of participant records, including contact information and participation history.
  • Follow approved scripts, data collection tools, and documentation standards.
  • Flag inconsistencies, missing information, or potential data quality concerns for review.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support outreach campaigns by executing call/email waves aligned with the coordinated cadence.
  • Contribute to outreach reporting by tracking engagement outcomes and response rates.
  • Identify common objections or barriers to participation and provide feedback to improve scripts and materials.
  • Participate in team check-ins and training sessions to support quality and consistency.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2 + years experience in stakeholder engagement, outreach, customer service, research support, or survey administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort with outbound calling and structured follow-up processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document information accurately.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, spreadsheets, and tracking tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Fluency in both English and French, both spoken and written is required

Preferred

  • Experience in manufacturing, skilled trades, workforce development, or labour market research.
  • Experience supporting surveys, interviews, or research projects.
  • Familiarity with privacy, consent, or data governance requirements.
  • Experience working in a non-profit, association, or stakeholder-driven environment.
