Building Skills for Success: Frontline Workers
EMC’s Building Skills for Success: Frontline Workers program is designed to develop essential skills needed to be a productive, valuable member of any manufacturing workplace, particularly in frontline work.
In this course, participants focus on developing skills from the Skills for Success model including problem solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability and innovation. This program offers a unique model where participants receive direct and ongoing support from their supervisors who are participating in a concurrent program. The goal of this model is to provide enhanced learning and growth to frontline workers and increase their success in the workplace. By developing these skills companies can expect to see improved understanding of skills for success, attention to quality assurance, problem solving, communication, collaboration and adaptability. This program provides skills training using industry validated content, live or virtually facilitated learning blended with e-learning and applied learning opportunities.

The program provides 8 hours of facilitated training and 4 hours of self-directed training. Participants build their communication and collaboration skills while engaging in weekly group activities that require them to apply their learning to practical situations and scenarios. This program is led by a professional trainer with direct knowledge and experience of manufacturing.
