A proud member of EMC and the Oxford Consortium 5 Years, Zero Lost Time

TFT Global Inc.

One of the factors for our success was joining the safety groups. This helped us to develop and enhance our safety program and gave us a variety of resources to use. We also have a culture where we encourage reporting all accident/incidents/near miss.

By creating this culture we are able to look at the root cause of issues, correct them, and prevent future occurrences. We have involvement in safety from the top down so the company wide support has been a contributing factor.

We have very active Joint Health and Safety Committees at all locations who we invest in and train, as well we provide Health and Safety training on a monthly basis to our Supervisors. We also acknowledge safety successes at quarterly employee meetings and through monthly safety bulletins. Lastly, we do send out monthly safety talks.

Health and Safety Communication Best Practices Include:

  • Monthly Safety Talk presented by supervisors
  • Annual policy review
  • Quarterly employee town halls
  • Monthly supervisor meetings where trends and corrective actions are reviewed
  • Bi-weekly 'Safety Snapshot' bulletin outlining recent internal H&S incidents/accidents/near misses
  • Standardized H&S information boards at all facilities

There have been many contributing factors in achieving this milestone, active participation in the EMC Safety Group, a cohesive Early and Safe Return to Work Program, continued emphasis on communication and training, and the commitment of everyone at TFT. Without passionate employees there would be nothing to celebrate! This achievement of this milestone was announced at the most recent quarterly employee town hall meetings, and will be celebrated as a company with all employees receiving apparel.

Ask our customers what they admire about TFT Global and they will talk about our commitment to our core values of reputation, people, and growth.

Team Members with TFT are tasked with performing a variety of functions based on their location including sequencing, inventory control, subassembly, repack, container management, sorting, rework, containment, and final vehicle verification. To safely perform these tasks health and safety information and training is a priority.
