Larsen & Shaw

ON April 4, 2017 – The Family Enterprise Xchange (FEX) announced Larsen & Shaw, a fourth-generation family-owned business as the 2017 FEX national Family Enterprise of the Year Award recipient.

This prestigious honour will be presented at a spectacular gala dinner at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 in Halifax, NS during our Family Enterprise Xchange Symposium on June 12, 2017. The Family Enterprise of Year Award (FEYA) was established in 1986 to celebrate and promote the achievements of Canadian business families and the considerable contribution they make to the economic and social fabric of both of their local communities and Canada as a whole.

“Receiving the Family Enterprise of Year award is a great honour for our company.” says John Larsen of Larsen & Shaw.

“We are thrilled for what it means to our employees, our community, and to manufacturing in Canada. And of course, it’s affirmation of the work of 4 generations over 98 years, which makes it a humbling experience for those of us accepting on their behalf and carrying on their legacy.”
