For 60 years, Owen Sound Ledgerock continues to develop new products by expanding their finish options with much success. New finishes include leathered and flamed. Development of a production planning system has helped ensure that customers receive products on time. They have also developed new technology with the addition of CNC and Mastercam 3D art used in programming the CNC machines. This new technology helps push their company ahead of competitors.
Nearly 60 years ago brothers Harold and Ralph Stobbe, contractors in the Owen Sound region, were having difficulty finding a local source for stone window sills. Taking it upon themselves to find a solution, they discovered some local stone, opened a quarry and Ledgerock got its start.
Established in 1958, Owen Sound Ledgerock Limited is considered to be one of the most complete stone quarrying and fabricating companies in North America. Located in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada their stone quarries yield some of the world’s most spectacular limestone deposits.
Over the years, Owen Sound Ledgerock Limited has grown in scale and production (they currently employ about 150 people locally), but remains a family owned-and-operated business!
