Northern Ontario

Welcome to the Homepage for the Northern Ontario Consortium of EMC! We are very excited about engaging manufacturers across all sectors in Northern Ontario. We are looking forward to providing value added events specifically for the North and are looking for your feedback on what problems you would like us to present on.

I am pleased to serve our members and community partners and look forward to further developing, growing, and connecting the manufacturing community. We do this by providing value added Strategic Interest Group (SIG) meeting/events. If you want to have SIG events on Lean Manufacturing best practises, supply chain management, legal updates, human resources development, hiring best practices, tech updates or learning what government funding and training is available in the North, we are here to support you. Reach out to me and let me know what you would like us to focus on specifically in the North.

We specialize in supporting manufacturing companies for processes improvement, recruitment/ retention, cost saving energy strategies, peer to peer networking, and developing/maintaining the skills of all employees from the Board Room to the Guard house. Importantly, we work with provincial safety agencies to keep you safe and productive – day in and day out.

Supporting Women's Growth in Manufacturing

VirtualWednesday, April 17, 2024, 12:00pm EST
This entertaining (and hopefully humorous) presentation by Meaghan Ziemba, will unveil the invaluable lessons that manufacturers leaders can glean from Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie, focusing specifically on supporting the professional and personal development of women in the industry. From fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment to nurturing creativity and resilience, Barbie's story serves as a beacon of inspiration for leaders seeking to create opportunities and break down barriers for women in manufacturing. Join Meaghan as she explores practical strategies and actionable insights derived from Barbie's journey, empowering manufacturers to lead with compassion, vision, and just a touch of Barbie's signature glamour. Get ready to laugh, learn, and revolutionize your approach to supporting women's growth and success in manufacturing leadership.
